Welcome back to another episode of the frame your way. Photography podcast. I'm so pumped for today's topic because who doesn't love black Friday? First of all, I think you're absolutely crazy if you're one of those that does part of your Christmas shopping on Black Friday because for one, do not want to wake up at the crack of dawn before the sun to rush to stores just to get pissed off from customers and crazy people and all the things. It just makes me crazy to even think that some of you enjoy Black Friday. But what I will say is I enjoy all of the online sales that are happening on Black Friday and on Cyber Monday. So today I want to talk about three different ideas that you can utilize to make sales on Black Friday because people will spend money on Black Friday and it is a great way to bring in some income for your business. Specifically, how can Black Friday benefit a photographer. So I had to think outside the box here and come up with three different ideas that could apply to every photographer, regardless of what type of photography you d'oh! And who you are trying to target for your ideal audience. So let's go ahead and let's dive into this. The first thing that you can do on Black Friday to utilize some sales as you can up sell your current clients. So if you have had sessions throughout 2019 now is the time that you can remind them to revisit those pictures, go back to their session, relive it and then remind them if they still haven't printed or turned their pictures into wall art, now is a great time to do so. So for your Black Friday offer, you might just want to up so all of your clients that you had in 2019 and offer them a way to have their images printed or turned into some type of wall art or Christmas gift or something. This would be the perfect way to go ahead and touch base with those clients and offer them away. Thio print out their digital images and turn them into some awesome gifts for Christmas. So that is the very first way. This is something that we can all relate to and we can all do, regardless. If we have one client for 100 clients this year, the second thing that you can do for Black Friday is you can go ahead and sell some 2020 sessions spots. So, for instance, a lot of us are gonna be raising our prices come end of the year. I know I am, and my pricing guide has already set and ready to go. I'm super pumped about it. I'm definitely nervous, but that's I mean, that's just going to come with it. That's part of getting out of your comfort zone. And so raising our prices is definitely on my list for early 2020. And I know many of you are re evaluating your pricing as you should be, and this is a great way to go ahead and capture some sessions for 2020. Make sure that you have some income coming in for the year, and so one of those ways that you can do that is by telling your clients and your prospects. People who want you to take pictures for them. Let them know that you will be raising your prices as of January 1st of 2020. But if they want to go ahead and lock in your pricing, as is today, they can do so by going ahead and booking a session and putting down the money for it. Okay? Definitely, definitely Require a deposit of some sort and make sure that they understand your deposit is non refundable. This is just, um a tip for you. Okay, so these air really successful when you a give a time restraint, So let them know. Listen, I will allow you to do this, but you only have until, like, 24 hours from today. So you have until Saturday at midnight That gives you all black Friday in one extra day to go ahead and make the decision to book a session and look in the pricing. They don't necessarily have to pick an exact date, but I still would recommend that they do so Okay, so the more specific you can be by making them choose the dates or making them put down a deposit for a 2020 session, letting them know you'll reach back out after the new year from everyone that's purchased so that they can go ahead and get on your calendar. That's a good way to do so, too. Or let's say that, you know, you're for sure going to be having a weekend of family spring sessions completely just dedicated to one type of, you know, photography. Then I would go ahead and advertise those and say, Hey, the original full price for these sessions is going to be this. But if you go ahead and purchase your session today, you get it for this. And so people love savings. People know that when the weather gets warm again, they're gonna want to be outside. They're gonna want to take advantage of your sale, and you're special pricing that you have going on. So this is a great way to utilize that as well. So there's a lot of different ways that you go about trying to book your 2020 sessions on Black Friday. If you're a wedding photographer, then you can offer you can either offer a wedding price as of 2019 or if you know you're not raising your prices. Maybe you just recently raised your prices. Maybe you could add on some type of bonus. That's really just gonna be a little bit more of your time or maybe a little less income from it. But maybe you're gonna throw in like, a wedding album. Or maybe you're gonna offer Hey, if you book it today, I will also, um, throw in 20% off your one year 1st 3 session or whatever the case may be. There's lots of options for you to get what your worst, but also utilize a sale for Black Friday so you don't need to be slashing your price is necessarily, but find another bonus or a little extra something that you can throw in that will make these people want to make a move and get what you're selling. So the third option does not apply to everybody on it can. But what I specifically I'm doing for myself in my business on Black Friday is I am offering one of my digital courses on thio other people, and what makes it special is the doors were already going to be closed as of October 31st so by the time black Friday rolls around. It'll just be like a quick I'm opening the doors for 24 hours. If you didn't get in and you want Thio. If you know your husband or someone is gifting you a digital camera for Christmas, this may be for you. Go ahead and purchase it, that kind of thing. So that is also what could make it special. So for me, I'm not slashing the price of my course. I'm just simply offering it to people because this is something that you can't get all the time. So digital products is idea number 34 black Friday. So if you are kind of getting into the education realm or that's part of your revenue, you like that side. You can always sell a digital products. But this could also work for business to customer to. You just got to think outside the box on how this will work. So before I wrap this up, I also want to add in a couple of gold nuggets for you to really help you utilize Black Friday, and I realize that this is giving you a very short amount of time to get this done. but that's just how the calendar worked out. But I know a lot of you. Probably We're not gonna do anything for Black Friday. You were just gonna let it pass and make it another day and move on. But I hope this encourages you. Thio, go ahead and whip something up. But I want to talk about a couple ways. You could market your black Friday sales. Okay, That way you're getting it to the most amount of eyeballs to convert the most amount of sales. Okay, so obviously, I want you to be posting this on social media for Black Friday. That's a great way for people to see what you're doing. But to top it off, to make it better, rather than just using a post, maybe do a live video, let them know what your Black Friday special is because the more excited you are about it, the better it's going to be. It creates urgency. People like to digest information through videos, so consider going live on your social media channels. The second thing definitely put it in those instagram stories. That is a perfect way to get people to see what you have and then to give them the cold action on how to get it. Plus, this is going to have people in your messages. And again, it's the conversations that convert the most amount of leads into clients, which our sales, okay, and then the third way, and you guys already know it's coming. Get yourself on flow desk or whatever email marketing system you're using, and I want you to send an email to your people. Okay, how many of you are still checking your email inbox and you love a good sale you love when your favorite store comes and tells you that they haven't awesome sale that you've been waiting for and you purchase something. This is exactly why you need to utilize email marketing. Your clients are still in their inboxes, and this is a great way to get that one on one attention from them. There's no distractions in your email inbox, though. Click it. They'll read through, and they'll decide whether or not they want to purchase. This is the best way to utilize Black Friday sales is through email marketing, so I hope this got your brain going. I hope ideas air flowing to you I definitely hope that you guys were going to take advantage of Black Friday. And I hope you're gonna bring in some income into your business. I would love to hear if this episode was helpful to you. If it was please come find me on Instagram or Facebook work. Junie photography let me know because I really do want to hear from you guys.
