Welcome to the frame Your way to five figures photography podcast. I'm your host, Brooke Jefferson, and I'm so happy you're here. I created this podcast aspiring photographer in mind to help you go from 0 to 5 figures and beyond. Today, two of our five day book, your first client, Siri's. Now that you know your style, it is critical that you learn to communicate your vision and understand your nation. So I'm calling day to your niche or niche. However you want to say that word. I know everybody has their own way of saying that word. But for this particular episode, I'm going to go with Nish. When you think about your future photography sessions, what does that look like? Are you envisioning dark and moody images of a couple who was madly in love on a mountaintop? Are you envisioning a family playing together in the middle of a light and airy field? Are you envisioning a newborn and a studio with the soft backgrounds and cute props? When I first started photographing, I did every genre finish under the sun. I photographed families, seniors, babies, weddings, all of it. What I quickly found out Waas I didn't enjoy certain knishes. I also liked a consistent look and feel to my images when I was trying to do it all. You are not created to do it. All I know is photographers. When we first start out, it's completely normal. Teoh shoot a little bit of everything until you find out what your sweet sauces. But the sooner you get there, the better the center. You can figure out what your style is and what types of photography you want to focus on. The sooner you will become an expert in that area. My niche now is family photography. 100% hands down. Used to be weddings. But I let those go after last year, I just felt like I was competing in a industry that I just wasn't like, fulfilled in, if you will. I do not enjoy photographing seniors, peanut boudoir, nature or products, and that's okay. I know what I don't like to photograph and I know what I love to photograph. I know what lights me up and in photography, it is so important that if you're gonna become an expert and this is gonna be your bread and butter, that you start photographing images you're proud of because the last thing you want to do is have to explain to people why you aren't posting their images to the public or featuring them on your instagram. When you've done that to all of your clients in the past. You know what I mean? People will ask. Your assignment for today is to identify what your vision looks like. I want you to visualize all of your future awesome gold photography sessions, your absolute dream ones. And I want you to write it out on paper and I want you to keep it. Put it in a journal so you can come back to it. Number two, I want you to share your vision in our Facebook group. So I am opening up a Facebook group for all of us to connect in. And I'm gonna link you to that. So don't worry. It is in the frame your way to five figures photography podcast. I will get in the show notes that you can click on it and come join us, and I want you to come talk about it with us and number three. I want you to go find two or three people on either Facebook or Instagram to follow that have achieved your dream photography style and vision. I cannot wait to hear your vision. I can't wait to talk to use the more So go make a move and I will see you tomorrow on day three.
